Happy Second Birthday To…My Blog!

I can’t believe it! My blog is two years old today!  Not only that, but on the same day I reached 3000 followers on Twitter (here’s my twitter handle:

It may not sound like much of an achievement, but I imagined my enthusiasm for blogging would wane after a few months. And while sometimes I lack the motivation to blog/work about 50 hours a week (which results in a week without any blogs), I’ve kept it going. It originally started out as a place to review the WWE Network’s Best 100 Matches To Watch Before You Die (click here to see the list!), but I always knew I’d start film reviews as well. I delved into reviewing TV shows as well, but that didn’t last long. I either failed to keep on top of my reviews or failed to keep up with the show. I also reviewd WWE PPVs, but that fell by the wayside as my adoration of the WWE sank (and continues to do so).

So now, my blog mainly consists of film reviews and reviews of the WWE Network’s Best 100…List. I have thought about doing regular blogs, like a Top 10 List every week or an “Anniversary Review,” where I’d review a film that has a significant anniversary coming up. I have blogged infrequently on this topic. This year is the anniversary for quite a few of my favourite films, such as ‘Robocop,’ ‘Predator,’ and ‘Empire Of The Sun’ (all 30 years old!), ‘Hot Fuzz, ‘No Country For Old Men’ (both 10 years old!), and ‘Metropolis’ (a stunning 90 years old!). I try to review films that have a sequel/reboot/prequel etc coming up, or reviews films that share a director with an upcoming film. But again, they are only infrequent.

There’s plenty of topics for me to cover. I just need to stop being lazy and do something! A Thursday Top 10, perhaps? A Friday Favourite Film/Favourite Director Review? Hmmm…
