Quick Review : Luigi’s Mansion (GameCube)

Sometimes, you can’t beat the original, can you? This was the first game I bought for the first console I ever bought with my own money, and that’s a memory that will never leave me. Luigi proved you don’t need a Mario game to introduce a Nintendo console. His brother can do it on his own! Unlike the sequel, there are few interruptions or instances of hand-holding; it’s just you and a spooky mansion…and I don’t use “spooky” lightly!

Always gives me the creeps

Some of Luigi’s Mansion is genuinely unnerving (the ghost baby always gives me the willies). Easy to pick up, hard to put down, Luigi’s Mansion is a game full of that special Nintendo charm. It’s also the best Ghostbusters game out there. It may be a little too short, but it has endless replayability. A Gamecube classic.
