Before Elimination Chamber was a yearly Premium Event/PPV, No Way Out was the traditional PPV before WrestleMania. And in 2009 it featured not one, but two Elimination Chamber matches for World titles! I remember this particular match more for the over-arching story line (which continues into the second Chamber match) than the bout itself. And since I’m following the WWE Championship storylines from late 2008 to early 2009, I thought I’d watch it again!

HAMMY’S TOP 10 GREATEST THE ROCK MATCHES
Can you believe it? Twenty five years of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. WWE and Hollywood have never been the same…and, throughout Survivor Series 2021, we were teased with an appearance from ‘The Great One.’ Vince McMahon even had a golden egg, apparently from The Rock’s new Netflix film, ‘Red Notice.’ And when would The Rock grace the WWE Universe with his presence? Towards the end of the match between Roman Reigns and Big E? Would Rocky stand toe-to-toe with his cousin, Mr Reigns, and teach him a thing or two about respect? Would we see the start of a build-up for a ‘Mania match between the two? Continue reading
HAMMY’S TOP 10 GREATEST NON-TRADITIONAL SURVIVOR SERIES MATCHES
You wouldn’t think it, thanks to the piss-poor build, but tonight is the 35th annual Survivor Series PPV. It ain’t what it used to be, that’s for sure. Who cares about “Brand Supremacy” when nothing is one the line? No titles, no stakes…nothing. Clearly the bookers don’t care about “Brand Supremacy,” because this PPV build has been the worst I’ve seen for a long, long time. I was more excited for Crown Jewel 2021 than I am for this event. However, there are a few non-traditional matches that promise to be Match of the Year contenders. Over the years, Survivor Series has produced some great bouts, both in terms of the traditional Survivor Series bouts and other, non-traditional Survivor Series bouts. I’m here to talk about the latter. More specifically, my Top 10 Non-Traditional Survivor Series Matches! Continue reading
HAMMY’S TOP 10 GREATEST EDGE MATCHES
A few days ago, Randy Orton and Edge competed in “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever.” Not my words, by the way, but the words of the WWE! Why promote anything as “the greatest ever?” It just places a huge burden on the participants to deliver something phenomenal. Regardless, it was a very good bout…even great…but the greatest ever? Questionable. Continue reading
HAMMY’S TOP 10 GREATEST RANDY ORTON MATCHES

HAMMY’S TOP 10 WORST TRIPLE H MATCHES
25 years of Triple H in the WWE…how time flies! A few days ago, I put together a list of HHH’s Top 10 Greatest Matches. I’m all in favour of yin/yang, light/dark, good/bad, so it would be remiss of me not to do a list of his worst matches! HHH has been involved in some dire matches. Just look at his WrestleMania main event record; he’s wrestled in the main event seven times…but at least four of those were incredibly boring. In fact, I can only name one time HHH has really pulled out all the stops in a ‘Mania main event: WrestleMania XX. Continue reading
HAMMY’S TOP 10 GREATEST TRIPLE H MATCHES
The 30th April 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of HHH’s WWE in-ring debut! Yes, it’s been 25 years since Hunter Hearst Helmsley made his mark on the WWE. Who’d have thought he’d marry the owner’s daughter, become one of the most prominent main eventers in WWE history, and also reign as the company’s COO for a duration! Now, he tends to stay away from the ring, busy being WWE’s Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development and head of NXT! At the time I started watching wrestling, 1999, the BIG STAR was Stone Cold, closely followed by The Rock…but HHH was on his way to being the BIG HEEL. Continue reading
Review: WWE Network’s 100 Best Matches: #59 Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Batista (Triple Threat WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match, WrestleMania 30)
Just think for a moment: this match was originally scheduled to be Randy Orton vs Batista. But the power of the WWE Universe literally changed the WrestleMania main event. The crowd wanted Daniel Bryan to be in the main event. People power changed the mind of Vince McMahon!!! Just think about THAT for a moment. This triple threat match isn’t the best triple threat match to headline WrestleMania…but the best one involved Chris Benoit and has thus been stricken from WWE records. This triple threat is a fun, exciting match. But it’s on the WWE Network’s 100 Best Matches….List for one reason: the incredible rise of Daniel Bryan. Continue reading
Review and Results: WWE WrestleMania 32 (3.4.2016)
Was WrestleMania 32 as underwhelming as its poor build suggested? In the main, yes, due to some bouts that underpeformed and some perplexing outcomes….
