A forgotten Summerslam main event? You think Summerslam main event, you think Bulldog vs Hart, Cena vs Lesnar, Cena vs Bryan, hell, even Lesnar vs The Rocky. But Lesnar vs ‘Taker? I’d forgotten about it myself! No one could forget their ‘Mania XXX match, where Lesnar broke ‘Taker’s undefeated Streak. This is the rematch, slotted into the main event of Summerslam. Their bout at ‘Mania was marred by ‘Taker’s legitimate concussion. He has voiced his disappointment with the bout on many occasions. This was his chance to redeem himself (both in the storyline and in reality). And, to be sure, he did.

Randy Orton vs Sheamus
We’ve been here before, haven’t we? Many, many times! This was no different to your average Raw match starring Orton and Sheamus. Yes, they produce decent matches together, but they rarely change the structure of said matches. This match was no different from the rest of their matches. It begs the question: why have this match anyway? So Sheamus could score a pinfall victory over Orton? He could have done that last month at Battleground. Why wasn’t the MITB briefcase on the line? It would have added something extra to the bout. Of course, Sheamus and Orton are both good workers, but nothing in this match held my interest. Continue reading
